Caring for Your Aftermarket BMW Headlights

Your headlights are definitely one of the most important parts of your car. You cannot drive without them during night time and even if you can, you risk the possibility of getting caught by the police because it's usually illegal to drive without them turned on during night. Replacing your headlights can be expensive and if you lead an active lifestyle, you might not have the time to really wait around and have your headlights changed. So to avoid mishaps, here are some easy tips you can follow in caring for your aftermarket BMW headlights:

Don't use abrasives on your headlight - If you must clean even the cover of your aftermarket BMW headlights, make sure it's a soft cloth that won't scratch the surface. Headlights are usually clear and so are their covers, so it might not be easy to spot the cover to already be broken. If it is already, then your headlights would absorb impact as you ride your car and risk it being broken as well.

Avoid getting your car under an automatic car wash - Manual car wash process is still better than automatic ones. Automatic ones rely on robotic brushes and whatnots to get your vehicle cleaned up. But you never know just how much force comes with that. A manual car wash makes sure that only the safe places are washed.

Apply acrylic paint conditioner right on the aftermarket BMW headlights - To minimize the possibility of friction and since you couldn't really wipe your head lights, this is a good protection to do. This protects the headlights for any direct damage.
